WNBA All-Star 2025 is important to Indianapolis because it marks the first time the city will host the league’s marquee midseason event, shining a national spotlight on the city’s deep basketball roots and passionate fanbase. As home to the Indiana Fever and a historic hub for hoops culture, Indianapolis has long been synonymous with the game, and hosting the All-Star festivities provides a unique opportunity to celebrate women’s sports, drive economic impact through tourism, and inspire the next generation of athletes. The event also showcases the city’s continued commitment to elevating professional women’s basketball on a national level.

All WNBA players currently on team rosters are eligible for selection. The 10 starters for the All-Star Game will be determined by a weighted combination of votes: 50% from fans, 25% from current players, and 25% from a panel of media members. Players will be ranked within their position groups (guards and frontcourt) based on these combined scores, and the top four guards and top six frontcourt players will be named starters. In the event of a tie, the player with the higher fan vote ranking will be selected.

Following the announcement of starters, WNBA head coaches will vote to select 12 reserves, including three guards, five frontcourt players, and four additional players regardless of position. Coaches cannot vote for players on their own team. The top two vote-getters in the fan vote will be named team captains and will draft their respective rosters from the pool of selected players. The WNBA All-Star Team Draft will air live on ESPN during WNBA Countdown at 7 p.m. ET on Monday, July 8.

WNBA All-Star Voting 2025 presented by Ally tipped off on Wednesday, June 12 at 2 p.m. ET and will run through Saturday, June 28 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Fans can vote once per day through the WNBA App or WNBA.com, selecting up to 10 players, four guards and six frontcourt players, regardless of conference. There will also be three special “2-for-1 Days” on June 14, June 20, and June 27, when each vote submitted counts twice.

The 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game marks a historic milestone as it will be the first time Indianapolis hosts the league's midseason showcase.
